Lezing: Taal in het Paradijs
Lecture on language by Prof. dr. Peter Hagoort: 'About talking cars, communicating Martians and brain language.'
What do slips of the tongue tell us about language? How do language and consciousness relate? What have we - thanks to research methods to visualize brain function - learned about human language skills?
Peter Hagoort is professor of cognitive neuroscience at Radboud University. He is the founder and director of the F.C. Donders Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging, and one of the directors of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. His research focuses on the neurobiological foundations of human language ability. In 2005, Peter Hagoort received the Spinoza Prize.
