WP2 Semantic and conceptual basis of language

David Alberto Neville is postdoc researcher at the Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging of the Donders Institute.

His research focuses on the domains of memory and language with a particular interest for the dynamical interplay between semantic (abstract) and episodic forms of memory. His approach relies on combining computational modelling techniques with measures of behaviour  and brain activity.

David Neville’s emphasis lies on the integration via formal modelling of knowledge from different domains of inquiry.

As postdoc for WP2 his research aims at understanding the neurocomputational underpinnings of human conceptual semantic memory. To this end his work will focus on developing a unified model of conceptual semantic memory in order to investigate the processes underlying both mnemonic and linguistic operations.
