Jana Thorin is a PhD student at the department for Cognitive Artificial Intelligence, Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior based in Nijmegen and holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience.

As part of her contribution to the consortium, she focuses on feedback loops in learning to produce and perceive phonological contrasts in a foreign language and how a deeper understanding of these can help in developing Brain-Computer Interface systems for second language learning that outperform behavior-based training methods.
