Two dissertation prizes for Dr. Bosker

Dr. Hans Rutger Bosker received two awards for his thesis The processing and evaluation of fluency in native and non-native speech

AVT/Anéla dissertatieprijs
The first prize was the AVT / Anéla dissertation award, which Bosker received for the best linguistic thesis in the Netherlands in 2014. The award was presented during the "Grote Taaldag" (Great Language day), an annual event on linguistics organized by the General Association of Linguistics (AVT), the Dutch Association for Applied Linguistics (Anéla) and the National Graduate School of Linguistics (LOT). An independent jury selects the best thesis in linguistics that is defended at a Dutch university in the past year.

Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award
In the same week Bosker heard that his thesis had also won the Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award. This award recognizes doctoral research that has a significant and original contribution to knowledge about second language skills.
