Barbara Franke elected as member of the Academia Europaea
Barbara Franke, PI in the Language in Interaction consortium and Professor of Molecular Psychiatry has been elected as member of the Academia Europaea.
Academia Europaea is a European, non-governmental association acting as an Academy.
Its has about 3000 members are scientists and scholars from the physical sciences and technology, biological sciences and medicine, mathematics, the letters and humanities, social and cognitive sciences, economics and the law (of which dozens of Nobel laureates) who collectively aim to promote learning, education and research.
The Academia Europaea plays a role in the development of European science policy, for example, through a seat on the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC) that advises on European research.
