PhD attached to Tenure Track: “Formal modelling of language in a semantic and/or computational direction”

I am a PhD student at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam.
My supervisor is Willem Zuidema. I have a bachelor's degree in Physics and Astrophysics and a Master's degree in Logic (with a focus on computational linguistics). During my Master's I spent a semester in Edinburgh, where I studied machine learning techiques and (cultural) language evolution.
In my project I will work on developing a neurally plausible semantic parser, combining insights from computational linguistics, machine learning and cognitive science.
